Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you some more info on our Evenflo Minno Twin Stroller. We have had it for about a month now and it’s absolutely perfect for summertime! If you are looking for a double stroller that is lightweight and very convenient than this post is for you!
Something Andrew and I love to do, is take the girls to different nurseries. The girls love to be outside, so it’s a great way to enjoy the morning and keep them entertained. They love looking at all the plants and Andrew and I enjoy it as well! When it’s a hot day, we usually take them out in the morning while it is still fairly cool. We get them fed and dressed then head out! Now that they are a little older and can keep their heads up, we’ve been using this stroller when we go on walks. Before we had been putting them in their carseats every time, but strapping them in this is so much easier! It opens up in just a few seconds, and even Andrew was impressed at it’s simplicity.
I’m planning on taking it to Nashville in a few weeks since it’s easy to use and folds up really compact. And then we are renting carseats with our rental car. The stroller has overhead shades that are easy to pull down and an underneath compartment where you can store some things. Also it comes with a cup holder you can use on the side. Side by side strollers can be pretty big, but this one is narrow enough to fit through most doorways. It’s also nice that the girls have a good view of everything!
Summertime to me is enjoying everything outside. So every chance we get (when it’s not 100 degrees outside!) we go on walks, swim in the pool or just hang out on the grass. When the girls start to get fussy, taking them outside is our magic trick. It works every single time!
Love my family of four!
June was so relaxed the whole morning, just completely content sucking her thumb!
I hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far. Life is much more exciting with these two babes in tow! Just going on a walk is much more exciting! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a great day!
Hey guys! Today I wanted to talk skin! I am a huge skincare lover. I am always on the hunt for the absolute best products. I only share things I have been using when my skin is at it’s best, and lucky for me that time is now! Korres is a brand I’ve been using for a long time, so when they launched a new eye serum and reformulated a few products from their Black Pine line, I knew I had to try them! I also was wanting to find some new products to help with my fine lines and dark circles. During my pregnancy my skin was practically perfect. I never had any breakouts and the weight I gained filled in all my fine lines. Now, almost 5 months postpartum, my lines have come back as I drop the weight. And as far as my eyes go, well let’s just say twins and sleep don’t go hand in hand! (On the bright side, we are sleep training and getting so much more sleep it is amazing! Another blog post on that subject coming soon!) So with a lack of sleep comes dark under eyes. I really never had any issues with darkness before, but now, that is my main area of concern. So let me walk you through these products and let you know why they have changed my skin.
Let’s start with eyes. In the photo above the product on the left is the new Black Pine Super Eye Serum. It will lift your entire eye area, leaving you with youthful, bright and fatigue-free eyes. I have noticed a big improvement in the brightness of my under eyes. They are much less dark and smoother than before. Some days I don’t even feel the need to wear concealer (and that is a BIG deal). The serum stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, while diminishing dark circles and reducing the appearance of fine lines. Things we are always looking for in an eye product! It also contains the Defeye Gravity Complex, which helps with sagging eyelids, and Elastilift-3D, which helps to re-contour your face. Hello chiseled features! The 3D Black Pine Eye Cream will also help promote skin elasticity and improve the texture of your under eye area. I like to add the eye cream on top of the serum for a little more moisture overnight.
The next two products I’ve been really enjoying are the Firming, Lifting & Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream and the Active Firming Sleeping Oil. The Sleeping Oil has also been reformulated with more advanced ingredients! Sometimes I’ll use both together if my skin feels extra dry or other times I’ll just use the Sleeping Oil by itself. The oil is ultra-concentrated and feels silky on the skin. It’s extremely lightweight, so if you aren’t usually a fan of oils I’d suggest you try this one because it really sinks into your skin. It helps to recontour, firm and nourish the skin along with optimizing the volume of your skin, making your face look more lifted. I look forward to using this product before bed because of how luxurious it feels. Such a treat! The night cream contains black pine extracts, which are the first natural polypeptides. This helps with collagen and elastic production, firming the skin and protecting your skin from free radicals. If my skin feels extra dry I will apply the night cream on top of the sleeping oil and always wake up with amazing skin.
So if you are in the market for some new firming and lifting skincare products I highly recommend these. I try so many products so for a line to stand out really means something. My skin has looked so much better since incorporating these into my routine and I am highly critical of my own skin! I’d love to know if you already use some of these and how they work for you! Thanks for stopping by!
Hey guys! Today I wanted to talk about introducing foods to babies. My twins are now 4 months old and I just started thinking about my plan for feeding them. It’s crazy to think that time is almost here! As of now I am still breastfeeding and giving them formula before bed and sometimes one other time during the day. I also am pumping about 2-3 times a day to up my supply and get some milk for them to have on hand if they won’t nurse. For this post I have partnered up with Stonyfield Organic to show you some more options when it comes to healthy baby food. Their YoBaby line, which is the #1 pediatrician recommended yogurt for ages 6 months-2 years, recently added a new strain of probiotics, BB-12. Probiotics are super beneficial for your gut. And your gut health is the foundation for overall good health.
It’s recommended that you wait to feed solids to your baby until they are 4-6 months old. You also want them to be able to sit upright and hold their head up. Our girls have good head control but still can’t sit up so I’m going to wait until they can. I am starting to notice they get easily distracted when nursing these days. If I start to talk to someone, they will turn their head toward me and start to smile and coo. It’s pretty cute, but can sometimes be frustrating when I want them to eat!
It is a bit overwhelming figuring out what to feed your babies once they are done breastfeeding yet to young for cow’s milk. But dairy is packed with nutrients like calcium and vitamin D which are both super nutritious for growing babies. The nice thing is, even if your babies are still breastfeeding, they can have yogurt at 6 months. These yogurts are a great option and made with organic whole milk.
So what other foods am I going to introduce to our girls first? Egg yolks are at the top of my list. They are packed with beneficial fatty acids and provide cholesterol needed for the optimal development of the nervous system. I’d love to know your thoughts on baby cereal. I’ve heard to pour some breast milk into it to help your baby get used to it. I’m just wondering if it has many nutritional benefits. I’d also like to introduce avocado around six months. They are packed with essential fats, vitamins and minerals. To prepare, I’m going to mush it up and add breast milk to thin it out. The other two things I’d like to introduce early on are bananas and sweet potatoes (both packed with vitamin A, C and folate).
There are so many things to consider when being a mom to two littles, but I just try to trust my instincts and do my best! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Hey guys! I am so excited to share our completed guest bathroom with you. It was a long process because we completely re-did the entire thing since it was in bad shape to begin with. Even though it took a while I would definitely do it again! I am so happy with how everything turned out. It’s exactly as I envisioned it. I have both before and after pictures for you so you can see the difference. In the very start we changed part of the actual structure of the bathroom to create more space. Originally there was a shelf on the opposite side of the wall (where our dining room is) so we closed that off, which allowed us to open up the ceiling higher in the bathroom. I have to give credit to Andrew for that idea! We used all Kohler products to give the design a very cohesive feel. Honestly, everything works so well, I’m super impressed with the quality, functionality, and aesthetic. I think I love the shower head the most. Well, maybe the sink!! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! Something I really wanted when designing this space was a hotel feel but with a few rustic elements. I think the honeycomb marble tiled floor really helped to create that vibe. Also, having the subway tile come up the wall is something I always loved about hotels I’ve stayed at in New York. It gives a clean and classic look.I wanted to keep all the big pieces white so that the printed wallpaper would pop. I also chose a very dark grey grout to add some contrast to the all white tile. For the hardware I went with chrome to bring a touch of elegance to the space. I also love that it complements our kitchen! When decorating our home, I like all the rooms to have their own look but keep with a similar style throughout. That way the whole home has a very cohesive feel to it and I can switch out decor accents between all the rooms.
^^Our Verdera Medicine Cabinet is one of my favorite features of the room. We had the piece installed in the wall so it doesn’t even stick out too far, yet we still have a ton of storage inside. It is clean and simple and I love how the wallpaper reflects in it.^^ ^^Right now I have it full of beauty products and baby things. I love having options for guests when they come to visit.^^ ^^The sink is called Ceramic Impressions and it has been so easy to clean. I also have been loving the vanity. It is real wood and has soft close doors which really fit a lot inside.^^^^Floating shelves were on our must-have list. I knew that there would be a lot of white so I wanted a wooden element to break it up and bring a little warmth to the space. We had a friend of ours make these for us. I just showed him similar styles that I had seen on Pinterest.^^ ^^The shower is such a transformation. Before it looked much smaller. Extending the subway tile all the way to the ceiling really helps to make the bathroom look larger. I also had a little nook installed for extra storage of shampoo and conditioners.^^
decor accents: homegoods and marshalls — BEFORE SHOTS: Here are some pictures of what the bathroom looked like when we moved in and then a few during the reno process. I’ll lay out what the steps looked like.
-Rip everything out including flooring, fixtures, tub, toilet and vanity.
-Cut out overhang to raise the ceiling height. (We had to close it off first on the opposite side of the wall.)
-Re-route pipe, new drywall and texture. We also raised the shower head about a foot.
-Install vanity, toilet, shower fixtures.
-Cut out wall to fit mirror, patch up drywall and re-texture.
-Install mirror and rest of fixtures.
-Apply wallpaper and mount floating shelves.

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you some ways to style neutral shoes. I just got a few pairs of shoes from Aerosoles that are perfect for spring. Neutral shoes are a great thing to add to your wardrobe because of how versatile they are. Especially with twins, styling clothes quickly is very important and pairing clothes with neutral toned shoes takes out a lot of the guess work.
First I am style these rose gold flats with black leggings. I wanted to show you how easy it is to change the look of an outfit by swapping out a few pieces.
^^I love how soft and feminine this look is. Rose gold and florals look so pretty together and are perfect for the spring. And keeping your layers lightweight keep the look fresh.^^
^^Here I chose a slightly longer trench, but kept it in a sheer fabric. The light pink color perfectly complements the rose gold flats. For my top, I have on a striped blouse in a similar fabric to keep the outfit cohesive.^^
^^One of my favorite ways to wear leggings is with a denim top. This one works great buttoned or un-buttoned. Denim is a great option for spring attire. It goes with pretty much everything, and I especially love it with a metallic! To make the look a little sporty, I have my backpack diaper bag which is both cute and functional!^^
Next, I am styling a pair of cork heels that have gold veining throughout them.
^^I love stripes for spring, especially navy and white!^^
^^I like to mix and match a lot of different types of neutrals. Denim jeans mixed paired with a camel bag and white top give an effortless vibe.^^
^^Here you can see how easy it is to swap out flats for heels to dress up your outfit a little.^^
Life has changed quite a bit recently. With the birth of our twin girls, my days are now consumed with feeding, burping and changing on repeat. But I wouldn’t have it any other way! Because of my lack of free time, I have had to alter my beauty routine quite a bit. I still like to take some time each day to freshen myself up so I feel alive, but the amount of products I use is less than before. I now try to be more efficient but still savor those moments I have to myself. All the products I have to mention are from Marshalls. I found some amazing items the last time I was there and I have been using them close to every day since.
The first area I always focus on is the skin. If your skin looks good, your makeup will look much better. Two products I have been loving are the Tiaki Face Serum and the By Nature Eye Crème. Serums are wonderful to pump your skin with nutrients and add moisture at the same time. This one in particular is lightweight yet still very hydrating. It also leaves your skin looking fresh and dewy. The second product that is a must with newborns is an eye cream! I enjoy this one because it targets dark circles. With less sleep at night comes tired undereyes. Make sure to dot on a little eye cream morning and night to keep them looking bright and awake.
Next up is makeup. To cut down on my time I use fewer products on my face. I usually start out with a lightweight BB Cream to even out my skin tone. After that I’ll apply a small amount of powder so it will last. Next, I go in with bronzer to warm up my complexion. I honestly think bronzer is essential these days. I haven’t been outside much so I count on bronzer to give my skin some life and dimension. This one from Bobbi Brown is great for an all over bronze or to contour your features. Last is highlighter. I’ve been loving Laura Geller’s Gilded Honey applied to the high points of my face. It adds almost a ‘wet’ look to your skin. Highlighter is a product that will always make you feel so much better! I also found these brushes at Marshalls and they are awesome. Make sure to check out all their brush kits, they usually have a lot of great options.
Nothing says pampering more than taking a bath. No matter how busy I get I find that there is always time for a 20 minute bath. Load up the bubbles, add some salts and light a candle. A bubble bath is a great way to unwind and relax your body. A good time of day for me is after my husband comes home from work and after we have eaten dinner. I typically put the girls down around 7:00 so there are a few hours of calm. I check out for about 30 minutes, find a good YouTube video to watch and try to savor those quiet moments soaking in the tub. I had to share these bath salts I found because I can’t get over how beautiful the packaging is. The brand is Alchemy Studio and I also have their hand soap, which is equally as pretty!
So even with newborn twins, it is possible to find a little time for yourself! I think it’s important to pamper yourself a little bit to make up for the clothes covered in spit up!
It is finally starting to feel like fall! Today I have a maternity look that is my go to outfit pregnant or not. I love a chunky turtleneck with some tall boots. These jeans are by Paige and are maternity jeans with a stretchy waist. I got them off of Tilden and they have so many options of jeans that are so flattering on your tummy. This sweater is from Marshalls and surprisingly is not maternity. Sweaters are a lot easier to get away with when pregnant since they are usually longer and pretty stretchy. Bring on the cooler weather! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow!
Hey guys! I hope you are all having a great week so far! I just got back from my 29 week appointment (these photos were a few weeks ago so I’m bigger now!) and everything went great. The babies are 3 pounds 5 ounces and 3 pounds 6 ounces which is so amazing to be that close. I even got to see their faces in 3D and it blew my mind. Everything is becoming a little more real now. Not that it wasn’t real before, but now that they will make their arrival in less than two months, I’m feeling the pressure! We pretty much have their nursery complete. I just need to hang stuff up on the walls and get a few things for finishing touches. I’ll have a post on the nursery after they are born because we are waiting to say their names until they are born. We have signs above their cribs with their names so I kinda have to wait to post!
As far as ‘gear’ goes, we have everything we need, I think! We have a stroller, car seats, rockers, clothes, diapers and a whole lot more. Our house is already packed with baby stuff. It’s going to be insane once they are born. Lots of pink too! I’m trying to organize everything a little better so it gives us a little wiggle room. My body is also feeling the pregnancy a lot more now. My uterus is now the size of a normal 40 week pregnancy, but I still have about 7 weeks to go. Wow typing out 7 weeks looks like practically nothing! Ah! Andrew and I are just so ready to meet these little girls. I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever and I am ready to see their faces in real life! We have a birthing class tonight at the hospital so that should be interesting! I am going to leave my last update video below for you to watch if you are interested. I hope you guys have a great weekend!
We have made it to 25 weeks! I just had a check up appointment with my high risk specialist and everything is going perfectly! I feel so fortunate that the babies are both growing at the same pace and we haven’t had any complications yet. With another week comes a bigger belly! I am starting to feel very achy at night and sleep is not so fun anymore. Not many clothes are fitting, so I’ve been living in dresses and pj’s! Don’t be fooled by these shoes, they were not on long! For all you pregnant ladies out there, what have you been wearing? I have been trying to not buy many maternity clothes, but I think that’s becoming my only option! Let me know some of your favorite stores in the comments section.
How adorable is this black heart necklace? I got it from Mejuri and love how delicate it is. I’m all about finding pieces that are versatile and that layer well. This necklace is the perfect addition!I wanted to thank you all for your kind comments on my recent YouTube videos. Your support has helped so much during this pregnancy. I’m so grateful for all of you and am excited to share a new chapter with you once the babies are here!
Our kitchen is finally done! It is so amazing not having contractors come to our home every week to work on cabinets, paint, backsplash…the list goes on and on! So today I lots of pictures and I’ll give you details on everything as well. Let me first say that redoing our kitchen was a lot more work that I had anticipated on! However, I think in the end it was all worth it. I had a vision of what I wanted the end result to look like and it’s just as I imagined. Below are two pictures of what it looked like before the paint and backsplash.
And here is everything after.
Our cabinets are painted with Behr Swiss Coffee (semi-gloss), which is the color of our trim all throughout the house. When they first painted it I thought it looked so bright. But once the backsplash was installed (which is a bright white), the cabinets actually look much more creamy. The counters also look more grey no with everything completed. The counters are quartz and the color is New Carrara from Arizona Tile. We chose to use two slabs because I wasn’t a fan of pre-fab color options. Also, I don’t know if you remember, but we used to have a giant pantry to the left of the stove. We decided we’d rather have more counter space, so we extended the countertops to the wall. Now I use that space so much and I don’t even miss the pantry. Instead we have our spices, baking supplies, vitamins and other things in the two doors to the left of the over. We have all our canned goods and snacks in the drawer below the microwave.
We had glossy standard subway tile installed (non-bevel) with a light grey grout color. Originally we weren’t going to go all the way around the window, but I am so happy that’s what we ended up doing. I think it adds much more of an impact and completes the whole room.
Like I mentioned in my part 1 of the reno, our sink (32 in.) and faucet are both from Kohler. Everyday I love them more and more. The faucet is not only beautiful, but it is so functional. It has an extendable spout and three different settings (normal, spray and one that cleans the bottom of the sink out). I’m really happy I went with an apron front sink. I love how wide it is so I can fit all my pans in it completely and I swear I enjoy cleaning our dishes more now!
It ended up taking around two months to complete everything. Instead of having it all done at once, we wanted to space everything out (cabinets first, countertops next etc.) so we didn’t have to pay for everything all at once. It worked out great because we had a lot of time to decide on the exact thing we wanted done. Overall, I am so pleased with how everything turned out and I am also so thankful we did it all before our twins are born!
