So I have had a little obsession with Fixer Upper on HGTV lately and have fallen in love with JoJo’s design taste. Everything is very French Country. There are lots of feminine pieces mixed with rustic wood finishes giving a very polished, yet relaxed vibe. Believe it or not, all of these items below are from Target. I have been so impressed with their decor lately and basically want it all for our new house. I put together some of my top pics that fall into the French Country theme. Let me know what your design style is below!
If you guys need some inspiration for Valentine’s Day, I am here for you! I have put together a casual outfit for you that would be perfect for a daytime date (the video below also has a more dressy look, which you can view HERE). I also wanted to show you some pictures from the spot Andrew and I had lunch. Myrtle Creek is a nursery in Fallbrook, North County San Diego, that offers an adorable lunch. All their food is farm to plate, so you know you are getting fresh ingredients. They also put your food inside a basket that you can take with you around the nursery to find a place to sit down and enjoy it. There are tables scattered throughout, so whether you choose a cafe style table, an upholstered bench, or a picnic table, I can bet you will enjoy your time there!
Ahh. I love a great serene bathroom. I like mixing prints and materials to give the room some character and a vintage feel. Black and copper accents, white marble, and big open windows are a few things I am drawn to. I also love simplicity in the general design. A separate tub and shower, large mirrors, and touches of detail. I see bathrooms as a place of relaxation and I feel the design should mimic that entirely. Head over to my Pinterest board to see what else I love!
I’m the type of person that likes to get things done all the way, as fast as possible. Okay, actually this only applies to decorating, I lied. Every time we move in to a new apartment, which is basically ever year, I feel the need to decorate it completely that month. This is not something I recommend! I am working on enjoying the process and taking my time. I also need to realize that I won’t find everything that I love right away, so I need to be patient. This is one reason why I’m slightly nervous for when we buy our first home. I know that I won’t relax until it is completely furnished and decorated. I know I have issues. So anyways, until that day comes, I am trying to really see what styles I like. My taste in decor has changed so much from just a year ago. I am really loving the european chic feel. White and cream colors, balanced out with wood and black accents. I am a huge fan of neutrals, with a few pops of color here and there. I also love feminine touches, so let’s see what I can get past Andrew. Here are some of my favorite inspiration pictures for living rooms.
Happy Monday! So over Easter (I know it was a long time ago) we had a build-your-own pizza party at my aunt and uncle’s house. It was such a fun thing to do with everyone. People really got into it and it became a competition of who could make the best pizza. My aunt had a massive spread of every topping you could ever imagine! I thought this would be such a great party idea for any occasion. It is a super easy thing to make and you can really customize it. I listed some ingredients below that would be great to have. The fresher the better. Also, if you are hosting the party yourself it’s a good idea to cook all the meats the night before and keep them in the fridge. Little ziploc bags are an easy way to store everything and then just pour each topping in a separate bowl. Now I really want some pizza!
Crust: uncooked pizza dough or premade crust (the fresh dough was the best)
